East Texas Christmas...

We were fortunate enough to spend an ENTIRE week in East Texas this Christmas. We got to see a lot of family and friends. We celebrated Kennith's 65th birthday.

For the first time we didn't feel rushed or stressed because we couldn't "see everyone". We drove down on a Thursday (Mind you, it's an 8 hour drive) so we got to Gilmer late in the afternoon on Thursday and exchanged gifts with Marty's parents and Wayne, Cristy & the girls that nite. Friday Jeri Lynn and her boys came in and we went to David Beard's in Longview. They seriously have the BEST chocolate pudding in the world. Saturday we did a gift exchange with some more family and then we crammed 3 visits into Sunday. We spent Sunday morning at Justin and Robin's. Marty got "bucked" off Robin's horse. I wish I had pictures. The saddle broke or he swears he would've stayed on. Then we met my cousin, Reed, who is stationed at the airforce base in Shreveport for a late lunch in Longview and then we went and saw RJ and Arden Sunday nite. Monday we went and saw Marty's Aunt Janette and then met Wes & Brooke at Texas Roadhouse Monday nite for New Year's Eve. We got back to Gilmer and didn't even watch the ball drop because we knew we had a LONG drive ahead of us the next day. Here are a few pictures to sum up our trip...My adorable nieces Cadi Lynn and Ciara, Marty and me and Kennither, Jeri Lynn and Marty.

Hey, I deleted the other comment. This is Robyn from camp. I just discovered y'all's blog from Rachel's. Hope y'all are doing real good. We have a blog, too, but it's private. Email me at shadrobyn@gmail.com and I can add you to the readers' list if you want.
