New Year's and a trip to East Texas

Well, it snowed New Year's Eve here in the panhandle so the hubs and I got to leave several hours ahead of schedule because we were afraid the roads might be bad. We couldn't decide if we were going to drive on through or go ahead and celebrate with my friends in Wichita Falls. As fate would have it, the roads were perfectly clear and we got to meet up with one of my best friends from college and her bf. They had this little place lookin' like something out of Sweet Home Alabama with Christmas lights and food everywhere. It was great!

Here we are at the beginning of the night.

Marty and Whitney. Two of my very favorite people!

Whitney and Aaron

I love this, girl. Although, she always makes me realize how BADLY I need a tan!

We got up the next morning and drove the rest of the way to Marty's parents'. We had family get togethers Friday, Saturday and Sunday night. Saturday, Jerrye and I spent the day at Canton with my oldest niece and one of Marty's girl cousins. I just LOVE that place!

This is our youngest niece, Cadi. They got these masks to keep their faces warm while riding the four-wheelers and go kart. Doesn't she look like a little Mexican wrestler?

Sunday we went to church while the boys went to Ft. Worth for a gun show. Afterwards, we took my oldest niece, Ciara, to Aunt Barbara's Tea Room in Pittsburg. It was lovely as usual! Sunday we came home and took LONG naps before everyone came over for dinner.

Marty with Ciara and Cadi Lynn.

Monday we finally got to see a few of Marty's friends. We went over to Justin and Robin's and did some hiking in the woods until Robin got home from work.

Here are a couple of my favorites...

We left their house and met RJ at Papacitas for some yummy Mexican food.

Here's a picture of he and Marty. These two keep me in stitches.

Happy 2010! We had a great time at the in-laws. We got to spend some quality family time and although, we didnt' get to see a ton of our friends, we felt rested when we left instead of frazzled like usual. We'll be back in March for all of y'all we didn't get a chance to see, though.

I'm only 1 follower away from hostessing my first giveaway and I've already got a couple of items. I'm just looking for a few more fun things!

The scenery looks wonderful! We were supposed to head to the lease last weekend (just north of Witchita Falls) but it was too muddy from all the snow. Happy New Year. Can't wait for your givaway!
